Consists of 742 black and white photographs and 111 color slides collected by the Washington Roadside Council documenting "visual blight" along Washington roadways, including billboards, utility poles, power lines, and road signs. There are also photographs of the signing of legislation to regulate highway visual blight, images of scenic (non-blighted) highways, and 8 lantern slides of maps of city green belts around the world. Included also are extant negatives for circa 50% of the photos. The photographs were collected by Jack Robertson, president of the Washington Roadside Council.
